2. Data we may process
The website does not offer public accounts, comments or recipe uploads. Depending on how you use the site, the following data may be processed:
- Technical server and security logs, such as IP address, browser, device information, requested page, date and time, and error or security events.
- A session identifier and a language preference when you actively choose a language.
- A pseudonymous browser token for the recipe-like feature. No public profile is created.
- Recipe IDs stored in your browser when you use My Cookbook. Recently viewed recipes and a unit preference are only stored when optional device-storage consent is available or when you actively choose the feature.
- Information you send by email, including your name, email address and message.
- Google Analytics usage information after consent, when Analytics is enabled.
- Google AdSense advertising and measurement information after consent, when advertisements are active.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- To deliver the website, remember requested settings and provide My Cookbook: performance of the service you request and legitimate interests in operating the site.
- To secure, diagnose and prevent abuse: legitimate interests in protecting the website and visitors.
- To answer messages and removal requests: legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps requested before entering an agreement.
- For non-essential analytics, device storage and advertising: your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Recipients and service providers
Data may be processed by Kyzoe Hosting & Design, with the website server located in Germany; Cloudflare for content delivery, security and abuse prevention; Google for Analytics, AdSense and its certified consent platform; and the email provider used to receive your messages. When you follow a source link, the destination website processes data under its own policy.
5. International transfers
Cloudflare and Google are international providers. Some processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
6. Retention
- Ordinary server logs are normally retained for up to 90 days, unless a security incident or legal obligation requires longer retention.
- Contact and removal-request emails are normally kept for up to 12 months after the matter is closed, and longer only where needed for a dispute or legal duty.
- A like remains until it is withdrawn or no longer needed for the feature.
- Browser storage remains until you clear it, use the website’s clear controls, or withdraw the relevant consent.
- Google and Cloudflare apply their own retention periods for data they process as independent or joint providers.
7. Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send requests to contact@pickmymealtoday.com. We may ask for limited information to verify that the request concerns you. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority.
8. Children
The website is intended for everyone who enjoys cooking and is not specifically directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly create profiles for children.
9. Security and changes
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, including HTTPS, access controls, hosting security and Cloudflare protection. No internet service is completely risk-free. This policy may be updated when the website, providers or legal requirements change.
